Frequently Asked Questions: Bridal/event glam

If your date is on a summer/fall weekend, try to book around a year in advance. For winter/spring, six months in advance.

An hour per person for wedding parties. One-on-one services, or specific full glam looks, tend to be closer to an hour and a half.

Trials are recommended so that we're able to meet each other, figure out your final look, and make sure you know what to expect on the day of your wedding. It also takes some stress off of your wedding  morning so you're able to just sit in my chair, relax and enjoy! Trials should be booked within two months of your wedding date if possible.

You'll want your wedding party to be fully glammed typically about an hour, to an hour and a half before you need to leave for your venue. This leaves time for wedding morning photos, getting dressed, saying hello to family that shows up, etc. Time flies and it can be VERY busy by the end of the morning!

The best place to have makeup artists (and hairstylists) is somewhere that has adequate table space and some outlets nearby. If you have bar stools or other higher chairs around, those are also helpful for makeup. I bring my own lights so don't worry if the space is dark... I'll fix that!

Bring inspo photos, preferably of someone with similar features (hair/eye colour, skin tone, etc.) to you or photos straight from my website/Instagram. I recommend bringing a lip colour that you like and can keep for touch ups throughout the day. (Keep blotting papers/pressed powder/concealer with you for touch ups as well.) I supply all makeup including lashes, but if you have products of your own that you would like me to incorporate, that's not a problem! 

Keep tissues on hand, and gently dab tears away before they stream all over your face if possible . DO NOT RUB YOUR EYES OR NOSE! Tilt your chin up and breathe. Wedding makeup is applied in layers and set for the day and the mascara is waterproof, but it's still best to keep a touch up kit with you just in case the tears keep coming!
